Top from Next, Untold pants, Miu Miu shoes, Marc Jacobs bag, vintage sunglasses

This outfit will probably be considered unflattering by some - it certainly doesn't make me look smaller and it doesn't really hide some of those parts many would consider worth hiding.
But I like today's outfit, and I am not obliged to make myself smaller at any cost. It's okay if I'm not. So I'll wear this, and wear it happily, because the colors are so pretty and I like the details around the collar and these pants are my favorites - and if I happen to have a muffin top in them and the sweater clings to my tummy, it's okay.
I'm okay, and if clothes show me as I am, not smaller or smoother or whatever, then that's okay, too.

Hope you're all enjoying the weather (I'm not, to be honest - I think it's too warm already) and wear something you like this summer :)
Thanks for visiting my blog!

  1. I actually think your outfit is very flattering... whatever the word even means. You look stunning in it, and it shows off your lovely curves. I adore those trousers, and your bag and sunglasses are gorgeous! Big thumbs up from me :D x

  2. I'm with Louise. I think it's flattering. And not in the sense that makes you longer and leaner but in the sense that makes you look good. Muffin top and all. I think you look curvy and sexy. ;) I really love that top and those trousers. So so cool. I don't know why but I always favor light knits like that instead of more form-fitting fabrics. Maybe I'm unconsciously dying to show off my curves (aka lovely fat).
What else can I say? You look great as always!;)

  4. @ Louise: Thank you sweetheart!
These trousers are the best thing, I think I need to go back and buy 5 more of them. Glad we share the same taste, once again!

@ Diana: what a sweet comment, thank you very much! I think this is the first time I got a "sexy", thehe ^-^

  5. well first of all, love the frilly details on your shirt! and the color scheme. and the polka dots. next.. muffin top? there is no muffin top there. those pants fit you like a glove girl! umm this part may sound a little awkward, but the pic of your back shows off how well your bra fits too! i tend to have problems in that area especially..

    definitely an a+!

  6. Good for you! You look wonderful. And I second Liz's point, there's no muffin top there. You've inspired me to go ahead and wear those slightly tummy-clingy tops I've been avoiding lately.

  9. you have a great shape and damn you should show it! it looks like a 'wiggle/sashay' outfit - some outfits make me want to wiggle when i walk! those days when i feel a little sexy.....! i love those clothes (when in the mood) that cling and i then feel rather fabulous x ps bit of a ramble however i loove polka dot pants and soft sweaters and you look chic and beautifully feminine

  11. The top is so interesting and pretty! I like all the textures it has. It compliments the polka dot pants perfectly.

I don't think it's about being or looking like size 0. You look great in this, because your body is symmetrical, hour-glass shaped, there's nothing that shouldn't be there. Many stick-thin girls couldn't pull this off. So it's definitelly flattering.
